John Stape talks on Joseph Conrad at 92nd Street Y this Sunday

John Stape, the acclaimed biographer of Joseph Conrad (The Several Lives of Joseph Conrad, Pantheon 2008) will talk about Conrad as part of the 92nd St Y’s “Biographers and Brunch” series this coming Sunday, April 5, at 11 AM. Click here for details.

The 92nd St Y is offering specially discounted tickets to the lecture only for $10. (The lecture and brunch together still costs $40, $34 for 92nd St Y members). For the discounted tickets, contact the Y directly at: poetrytemp1@92y.org.

Stape’s biography, the first new biography of Conrad in over a decade, looks fascinating, and this talk promises to be of great interest not only to fans of the author of Heart of Darkness (and son of the insurrectionist and translator Apollon Korzeniowski) but to admirers of the art of telling lives.
